Vote For Jeffrey Solomon

My Bio

I am Dr. Jeffrey "Doc" Solomon, and I am running for Florida State Senate in District 38 as an Independent with no party affiliation (NPA). I am not backed by a political party. I am not beholden to lobbyists, corporations, or special interests. My only obligation is to the people that live in my district. For more than 43 years, I've had the privilege of serving South Florida families through my healthcare practice, caring for people from every background and community. Early in my career I developed the idea for what became the nation's first mobile chiropractic practice — a model that has since inspired more than 4,000 mobile practices across the country. I was honored to be selected from more than 65,000 candidates nationwide to serve as a staff chiropractor for Team USA at the Olympics, and to lead my profession as President of the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council. Beyond my practice, I've remained deeply committed to our community as Co-Chair of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission, a member of the Miami-Dade Public Schools Health Advisory Committee, and Co-Chair of the Pinecrest Zoning Board. When I decided to run, I did not start with a platform — I started by listening, meeting residents face-to-face about the challenges affecting their daily lives. My mission is straightforward: address the real problems people face every day, protect and strengthen the communities we love, demand transparency and accountability, and restore respect among neighbors regardless of political affiliation. My vote will never belong to a party, a lobbyist, or a corporate donor — it will belong to District 38.

My Key Issues

Traffic, transportation and overdevelopment

I support a transportation system that works for everyone in Miami-Dade: investing in rapid transit, rail expansion, and a modernized bus network to reduce traffic and shorten commutes, upgrading roads and signals with smart technology, and promoting transit-oriented development so we can reduce long daily drives and prepare for future growth.

Affordable home ownership and cost of living

I support making homeownership attainable for Florida's working families and young people: smart zoning reform, faster permitting, incentives for starter homes, expanded down payment assistance, and protecting neighborhoods from excessive corporate ownership that drives up prices. Housing should be attainable for teachers, nurses, first responders, and working families.

Property insurance affordability

Florida families are being crushed by the rising cost of property and casualty insurance. I support reducing fraud and excessive litigation, increasing transparency and accountability within the insurance industry, strengthening competition to stabilize premiums, and expanding home-hardening programs that help Floridians protect their homes and qualify for lower rates.

Healthcare access

I support a Florida healthcare system that provides affordable coverage for every resident while preserving choice and competition — expanding rural healthcare, telehealth, and mobile health services, improving mental health services, and expanding home-based services that allow seniors to age with dignity. Healthcare is not a privilege for the few.

Public education

I support fully funded public schools focused on student success: raising per-pupil funding toward the national average, increasing teacher pay, supporting educators with better contracts and professional autonomy, and expanding mental health and school safety resources.
